hi all, i went to see colin in brighton last week, 5 hours there and 5 hours back and worth every minute, this man is pure genius, incense burning and candles in red pots enhanced the atmosphere, he opened with 'everything is coming up roses' and just got better and better. i am so in awe of this guy, anyone who can write such brilliant songs, stand at a microphone and move you with his voice is something to behold.
met him briefly afterwards, what a nice guy, a few people mentioned how they would 've liked to hear 'let me watch you make love' he said that shirley bassey had wanted to record it but backed out at the last minute, (she could only hope to be second best to the original anyway !) his new album 'blackleg vol 1' is fantastic. hope to see him again soon, if you've never seen him live, get there !
