Colin In The Pub 4 Years ago

A few years back I had the wonderful experience of seeing Colin play at a small pub/music venue. It was at a pub called The Horn Reborn, in St Albans, which plays host to a lot of local/tribute bands. It was on April 13th which made it all the more special to me as it was my birthday.
I had purchased a star shaped card which had the writing 'Your A Star' on it and hoped I could somehow pluck up the courage to get Colin to sign it!
I arrived at the venue and was taken back as to how small the place was, bit of a difference to seeing Colin play at the Royal Albert Hall I tell you! Having time to have a quick pint, i noticed Colin having a drink with his wife, pulled out the card and walked over like a nervous school kid to get it signed. Colin laughed out loud and seemed surprised that someone had bothered to ask for his signiture (after all it was a pub in St Albans). Colin signed the card and thanked me for the compliments.
At last it was time for Colin to perform and walked out to back room which had a small stage and a single stool, yes the great man was going to go it alone with just a guitar! There must have been no more than about 30 people there which made it very intimate along with the fact you was pratically standing next to Colin as he sang. I cant remember the playlist but it was a great set and Colin earned the usual round of applause on Sweetest Smile and Wonderful Life.
At the end of the set Colin came off stage and I grabbed him for what must have been a good 25 minutes of chat. A day I will never forget.
I did notice the Pub had a Tv screen showing the performance out to the bar section. Makes me wonder if they ever recorded it. I never did get round to asking. Damn!!
